Care First Group joins the Outcomes First family

It is with great pleasure that we announce Midlands-based adult education services provider Care First Group has joined the OFG family.

Care First Group provides education day services and a small respite break home for autistic adults or adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. They support people at 14 sites across the Midlands and are currently working with around 140 young adults.

The Group was founded in 1996 by the directors, Neil Thorogood, Chris Winter and Veronica Winter, who all had previous experience in adult services. Their story began with initial contracts with a number of local colleges to provide education for adults with learning disabilities, but later opened its own centres and began working directly with Local Authorities and NHS customers.

Neil (Executive Chairman) and Chris (CEO) will continue in part time roles over the next year in order to support Jane Worsley in a successful transition.

These services will naturally come under our Options Autism brand led by Jane who said, “We extend a very warm welcome to Chris, Neil and all our new colleagues from Care First.  This represents a broadening of our adult education provision under our Options Autism brand and offers a unique opportunity to improve our support of young adults with ASC, linking in with other Options services in the area.  I look forward to working with the team and meeting everyone.”

Commenting on joining the Group, Neil added, “We have been extremely fortunate to have found Outcomes First Group to help take the business into the next 25 years through diversifying our geographical and service reach. Joining OFG will bring increased opportunity to grow and flourish as they provide complementing services which will create great synergy for both organisations.”
