Location:          Yiewsley Grange, West Drayton and Upton Grange, Slough

Hours:              38.5 hours per week

Salary:              Up to £25,000 per annum

Contract:          Permanent, Term Time only

Are you an Enrichment Teacher or Instructor committed to improving the lives of children and young people?

We are looking for experienced Teachers to join our fantastic team at Yiewsley Grange and Upton Grange School due to growth in service. As an Enrichment Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.

This is a great opportunity for an Enrichment Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Duties will include:

  • creating well-rounded students by offering extracurricular programs that go beyond traditional classroom learning
  • Enrichment activities can cover a wide range of interests and skills, including:
    • Volunteering for charities
    • Community sports
    • Arts and music events
    • Duke of Edinburgh award scheme
    • Setting up a school magazine
    • Coding workshops
    • Learning musical instruments
    • Yoga or cricket sessions

Upton Grange is a new specialist ASD provisions which provides specialist education for c35 pupils, aged between 4-11 years. Upton Grange deploys a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of learners, who present with a range of learning difficulties and styles. Our pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards an Equals Semi-Formal Curriculum and National Curriculum expectations where appropriate.
