Job Title:         Assistant Headteacher - Post 16 and Futures

Location:         Trent Acres, Kings Bromley

Salary:             £35,000 per annum

Hours:             40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Contract:         Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Assistant Headteacher to join our close-knit team at Trent Acres School located in Kings Bromley.

About the role

This is a senior post within the school’s staffing structure which carries with it membership of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This post carries a 50% teaching commitment as well as SLT responsibilities. 

Duties

  • To be the school lead for Post 16 provision. 
  • To promote and manage post 16 provision at Options Trent Acres and Trent Acres Brookfield School. 
  • To be senior lead on site at Trent Acres Brookfield School as and when required, leading on the day-to-day running of the school. 
  • To manage the vocational provision provided by the school including introducing new qualifications. 
  • To be responsible for pupil outcomes and manage this process in consultation with the senior leadership team. 
  • Ensure careers education is delivered in accordance with the up to date and relevant guidance.
  • Support the school in meeting the Gatsby benchmarks in line with careers.

About the school

Options Trent Acres School is currently undergoing development and increasing its pupils numbers transitioning from 30 pupils to 60 pupils recently and with approval to open an Early Years Unit and extend our Primary provision. Due to this exciting time for the School the job roles currently advertised are all new as part of this development.

The school is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding school and outdoor gymnasium. Pupils also have the opportunity to work with our horses, donkeys, goats, alpaca and chickens. Learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Trent Acres. We have a dedicated staff team who are focused on the delivery of high quality, pupil centred, bespoke packages of care and education.

Our service is in within easy reach of Stoke, Derby, Telford, Stafford, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and surrounding towns.
