Job Title:           School Cleaner

Location:           Red Moor School, Lanlivery

Salary:               £10,718.00 per annum

Hours:               20 hours per week TBC, Monday to Friday

Contract:           Permanent, term time plus 2 weeks

Can you enrich the lives of young people as a Cleaner?

We are looking for responsible, caring School Cleaner to join our fantastic team at Red Moor School, Lanlivery. As School Cleaner, you will help support our pupils and young people in their daily lives, ensuring our facilities are well prepared to keep them, comfortable and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping pupils with varied and complex needs.

Our Cleaners carry out an essential role to maintain the standards of cleanliness required by the pupils and young people in our care. You will take pride in ensuring domestic duties including vacuuming, mopping, rubbish removal, dusting and cleaning are carried out to the highest standards.

When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Cleaner who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience in a similar setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These roles are ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality, and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to pupil’s lives and futures.

You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every pupil can thrive.

Hours to be agreed at interview - 20 hours can be split through the week, but candidates must work every day - Monday to Friday.

About the School

Red Moor School is an independent special educational needs provision near Bodmin, Cornwall. The school facilitates tailored support for up to 60 pupils aged 5-18 whose needs are predominantly SEMH and ASD related.

The school opened in September 2020 and has recently gone through significant refurbishment to allow our students to further benefit from our fantastic location and creativity of our staff team. The working day can be great fun and varied but can also be challenging.
