Position: Residential Childcare Worker
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday inclusive of sleep ins
Salary: Up to £25,640.00 per annum inclusive of 8 sleep ins payments per month
Contract: 52 week, permanent

Acorn Education and Care, are recruiting Residential Childcare Workers to join our team at Bridge House in Broomhill, South Yorkshire. Our registered independent homes offer residential care for vulnerable children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Complex Needs.
Osprey House is a four bed registered Children’s home. We support Children and Young to build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.
This home is based in Thurcroft and is within commuting distance from Rotherham, Sheffield, Thurcroft and surrounds.
Who we are looking for:
- People with a big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives
- Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging
- Be patient, resilient and calming
- Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs
- Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Children’s Residential Care, by working towards a funded qualification L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if you do not currently hold this or equivalent)
