Salary: £11.11 per hour

Plus, up to an additional £1,500* per annum travel allowance

About the Home:

Acorn Education and Care are recruiting Senior Care Workers to join our teams within the Hampshire region. Our registered independent children’s homes offer residential care for children & young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Each of our homes are within commutable distance from Chipping Norton, North Aston, Middle Barton, Kidlington, Oxford, Bicester, Aylesbury and other surrounding towns and villages.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Our Senior Support Workers carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will lead children in activities, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administrate medication.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Senior Support Worker, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Already qualified to NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work with emotional needs and challenging behaviour, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

What we need from you:

· Full and valid UK Driving Licence

· Access to a car

· Right to Work in the UK

· Currently hold Level 4 Apprenticeship for Children Young People and Families Practitioner

· Passionate about caring for children and young people, and to support them to reach their full potential
