Job Title:         Wellbeing Support Assistant

Salary:             £16,725 - £18,750 per annum

Location:         Mountfield Heath School, Robertsbridge

Hours:             37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Contract:         Permanent; term-time only

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our close-knot team at Mountfield Heath School in East Sussex.  The ideal candidate will know how to identify and support children and young people whose progress, development or well-being is affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances, and when to refer them to colleagues for specialist support.

General Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies of Mountfield Heath School.
  • Take on specific tasks related to the day-to-day administration and organisation of the school.
  • Take responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually within the performance management cycle and school improvement process.
  • Take on any additional responsibilities, which might from time to time be determined.

Mountfield Heath School is a new independent special educational needs provision, for pupils aged 5-12.  The successful candidate will support our teachers working alongside other support staff and therapists, to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.
