We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Hillingdon Manor.  Hillingdon Manor is an independent specialist school for children on the autism spectrum between three and a half and nineteen years of age, based in Uxbridge. Located across three sites, deploying a wide range of teaching strategies to engage and develop the progress of our students.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our occupational therapy team which is part of a large, supportive and dynamic multi-disciplinary team. 

Based within commuting distance of Cowley, West Drayton, Yiewsley, Hillingdon, Hayes and surrounding areas. 

The role

Working as part of a supportive multi disciplinary team you will be responsible for; Providing an occupational therapy service to the school using a universal (whole school), targeted and specialist model.  Ensuring provisions outlined in individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) are delivered.  Using your knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning skills to carry out appropriate assessment and intervention.  Evaluating progress, reassessing and altering intervention programmes as required.  Represent the occupational therapy service or individual students at multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure the delivery of integrated occupational therapy intervention by discussing client care, progress and involvement in transition planning.  Working with students, families, caregivers and the school team to ensure that occupational therapy interventions and strategies are embedded into daily routines.  

Essential requirements

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with active HCPC registration.  Those with experience of working with children with autism previously will be of particular interest.
