Job Title: Hardware Engineer

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Hardware Engineer to join our team at the Bolton Office. You'll be joining a new team with hands on responsibility for building and repairing laptops and desktops used in more than 200 locations across the UK. The successful post holder will be  responsible for making sure all new starters have the equipment they need on the day they start as well as managing the replacement and repair of equipment when it stops working. The Hardware Engineer will help colleagues with remote diagnostics and when that doesn't work, you'll coordinate a replacement and/or repair.

 

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be very customer focussed, always using user-friendly words for the most complex of technical issues. A willingness to learn is vital for this role as you seek continuous improvement on your practical skills and you'll have a passion for helping children and willing to go the extra mile. The successful post holder will also have demonstrable experience of laptop and desktop repairs, as well as imaging and configuration of hardware devices.
