We are looking for an inspiring Principal to join our fantastic team at Overton Residential School. As Head of School, you will promote a relentless focus on high quality, creative learning and safe and secure care. You will oversee our pupil’s educational needs, maximising children’s achievement, and their ability to develop as well as maintain a safe and secure environment for our residential children.

This is a great opportunity for a Head of School who is looking to be an innovative and strategic leader, ensuring both Schools have the resources, staff and ability to inspire learning in both academic and personal SEN environments, for children with varied Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be the custodian of our strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

About us:

Overton is a two year old school which has currently 15 day students and 12 residential young people, all aged between 11-18. The School is based on extensive grounds with vocational and academic spaces for the Children to learn within. We have very small class sizes and usually a 2:1 ratio. The ideal candidate will provide consistency in working with the staff team to support our young people in their day-to-day lives, within a school and home environment, enhancing their life skills and making sure, they are safe and secure in their surroundings.

The aim of the school is to provide specialist individual support to each child, enabling them to reach their potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide the young people with as much freedom as possible while offering a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals who are passionate, reliable and understanding including dedicated education, care and clinical teams.
