Job Title:         Education Administrator

Location:        Hillcrest Shifnal School

Salary:             £17,000 - £20,000 per annum

Hours:             37.5 per week (Monday - Friday) - 52 Weeks per year

Contract:         Permanent

We are looking for an efficient administrator who is used to working in a busy environment and juggling multiple tasks.

Hillcrest Shifnal School is an independant school specialising in meeting the needs of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. We have been rated "Good" with Ofsted and are part of the Outcomes First Group family.

We are requiring an experienced Administrator to join our dedicated team with a minimum of GCSE Maths and English Grade C. We provide admin support to the school as well as the Children's Residential Homes in our region. We like to be the team that everybody knows they can come to for advice and guidance.

The type of admin you would be doing is very varied. As a team we look after the following functions:

  • General reception duties
  • Exam admin
  • Planning and preparing for children's reviews
  • Payroll
  • Recruitment and HR
  • Facilities
  • Finance

This is a good role to gain a breadth of skills and you will have the support to develop in an area that you feel you want to explore more.

We are offering a salary of £17,000 - £20,000 p.a., depending on experience. The school is in Shifnal and it is commutable from Telford, Shropshire and the West Midlands.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to multi-task in lots of areas. You might be taking a call whilst a visitor is waiting and a member of school staff needs something. Or you may get a call about payroll whilst trying to book in an MOT for a school vehicle. You will have the support from the rest of the team but experience dealing with multiple tasks at once is a necessity.

The perfect administrator to us is someone who is efficient and pro-active. Someone who is willing to go above and beyond to provide support or problem solve. Most of all, we want someone who is a driven team player who doesn't mind the varied and fast pace of the role.

We are a small team but pack a big punch! We are very proud of what we do and the support we provide. If you like the sound of the role, we would be excited to see what you have to offer.

The role is offered on a full time/permanent basis, working 37.5 hours week Monday-Friday.

Please note, we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive a significant number of suitable applications.

Outcomes First Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of everyone in our care and therefore this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check where suitable references will be sought prior to your employment start date.
