Job Title:               Senior Registered Manager

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced Registered Manager who is looking for the next step in their career. We need someone with the skills and personal qualities to lead a team of around 70 staff in this larger than average Children’s Home which is made up of six small flats, all on one site, where up to 22 children live. As well as ensuring our Home meets all regulatory requirements, the role will also involve developing our current Deputy Manager to become Registered Manager as part of our succession planning, and then assume the role of Head of Care for the site continuing to support best practice and lead development our Children’s Home.

Options Barton Children’s Home (part of the Outcomes First Group) provides specialist integrated services for children and young people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, additional complex needs and behaviours which challenge.  The Home has an adjoining School on the same site (combining as ‘Options Barton’), which is separately managed. As of October 2021 there are18 students live in the Home and we also have 12 Day students bringing current roll to 30. The School and Home work very closely together to promote continuity and consistency for children and young people on a daily basis.

The location of Options Barton helps to create a very positive working and living environment for students and staff alike. This is combined with being close to Hull (with all the modern day benefits of shopping centres, bowling alleys, ice-skating rinks, cinemas, town-park etc.) and the East coast with its abundance of seaside resorts.  Our facilities on site, provide a good range of specialist rooms and outdoor areas, including a Family Room, a small therapy pool, Sports Hall, Adventure Playground, a Sensory Room and a Sensory Garden.

The successful post holder will have the opportunity to work within a newly formed Senior Leadership Team, consisting of a Head of School, Administration Manager, Site and Facilities Team Manager, SENCO and a Head of Service. The team have big visions to develop the service and the site, supported by a network of National Care Support and Talent who are always on hand to advise and develop our staff teams at every level. We control our own referrals to ensure admissions of new students are well managed and that all children in our care are appropriately placed and supported to ensure they can thrive and be happy.  Training and Continuing Professional Development is bespoke to every employee and, as Outcomes First Group is a large, national company, there are plenty of opportunities for excellent career progression eg. National Care Manager, Regional Director and Head of Service/Principal posts.
