Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Salary: £18,720 - £19,760 (£9.00 - £9.50 per hour) Plus £45 per sleep in
Hours: 40 hours per week, 1 on 2 off shift pattern

We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at Wolverhampton as Residential Support Worker. As a Residential Support Worker, you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Residential Support Worker’s carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will chaperone the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.
When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Residential Support Worker who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These roles are ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to children’s lives and futures.
Already qualified to or willing to work towards your NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work the required shifts, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
Ash House is an Ofsted ‘Good’ registered independent children’s home offering residential care for children & young people aged 7-18 years with social, emotional and mental health needs. The residential home, set in a rural location in Wolverhampton, offers a holistic model of care and education for the residents, which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. The home is supported by a specialist independent Ofsted registered school that provides our residents a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment to support their personal and academic needs. Hillcrest Ash House is within commutable distance from Walsall, Telford, Shrewbury, Cannock, Stafford, Birmingham, Kidderminster and other surrounding towns and villages.
