About the Group:
We are part of National Fostering Group.
Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. With 100% of our 26 regional fostering agencies officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the holistic administrative function and ensuring an effective and efficient service. It is essential our admin team provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders and you will assist with developing and encouraging the exchange of knowledge, experience and new ideas to continuously improve this function.
You will support the Office Manager as directed by undertaking general administration, datasets co-ordination, tender applications and regulatory inspection co-ordination. This will also include an oversight of the Fostering Panel, annual reviews of foster carers and assisting with database and file management.
The senior administrator will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care.
Who we are looking for:
You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced administrator and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative. It is desirable to have experience of dealing with Panel administration and minute taking skills.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.
- Highly experienced Administrator
- Excellent English skills both written and verbally
- Excellent maths skills
- Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- A good understanding of the importance of keeping information confidential
