We are looking for responsible, caring individual to join our fantastic team at Burgwood House Horsham as a Residential Support Worker. As the Residential Support Worker, you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Residential Support Workers carry out an essential and varied role to develop independent life skills and provide the bespoke, therapeutic support required by the children and young people in our care. You will support, mentor and educate our children in day to day activities to develop emotional and social needs, and help them develop practical skills to enhance or enable independent living.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Residential Support Worker who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Your previous experience of working with young people in an SEMH environment will be invaluable as you positively engage with our children, providing structured, consistent care and development.

Acorn Education and Care Burghwood House is an Ofsted registered care and education campus which is set in the picturesque countryside of West Sussex. The home offers a holistic model of care and education to children and young people aged 11 – 18 years, with Social, Emotional, Mental Health difficulties. Burghwood House seeks to maintain stable placements so that the residents build relationships, enhance their feelings of self-worth and develop a desire to learn. The home is located near Horsham and is commutable from Slinfold, Barns Green, Crawley, Leatherhead, Guildford, Worthing and other surrounding towns and villages.
