School for Inspiring Talents joins the Outcomes First family

Outcomes First Group has announced the acquisition of the School for Inspiring Talents, an independent therapeutic day school in the South West supporting young people who do not find it easy to fit into an existing mainstream education provision.

Based in Newton Abbot and Ashburton in Devon, School for Inspiring Talents will join the Acorn Education brand and work with our existing schools in the area.  It was established in 2014 and provides high-quality education programmes to pupils age 6-16. The school was the first in the UK to be recognised as a Trauma and Mental Health Informed School and is rated Good in all categories by Ofsted.

Founder, Mark Escott said: “After careful thought and reflection on what is best for the school, its students, and all our staff I have made the decision to pass on ownership of the school to Outcomes First Group, Acorn Education. I have full confidence in their capabilities to continue the legacy of excellence that we have built at The School for Inspiring Talents. They share our commitment to providing exceptional education and care to students with special needs, and I know they will uphold the values and principles that define our school.”

Principal Pete Jenkins, will continue to lead the school, supported by Deputy Principals, Lewis Harben and Emily Hanbury, helping pupils build firm foundations for their future and bridge the gap between education and real life by having fun, being challenged and inspired.

Daniel Cooke – Managing Director for Acorn Education said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome the team from The School for Inspiring Talents to our wider family.  We are delighted that we will now be able to educate more young people with Special Educational Needs across the South West.”
