Outcomes First Group Reports Strong Growth in 2025 Exam Results

We are pleased to announce significant growth and sustained performance in the 2024/25 academic year qualification results, reflecting both the scale and impact of our educational provision across England and Scotland.

This year, over 1,500 pupils undertook examinations or portfolio-based qualifications, representing a 55% increase on the previous year. Collectively, pupils achieved more than 7,500 qualification entries, equating to a 79% rise year-on-year.

Despite this substantial expansion, our overall pass rate remained stable at 73%, demonstrating consistency in quality outcomes while accommodating a greater number of learners. Notably, 18 schools submitted results for the first time, underlining our growing reach and the increasing number of young people benefitting from accredited learning pathways.

Key Performance Highlights

  • GCSE entries doubled compared to last year, with pass rates improving by 16%.
  • English outcomes strengthened considerably, with pass rates improving from 20% to nearly 50%.
  • Maths and Science outcomes each improved by more than 10%.
  • Where predicted grades were submitted, actual outcomes consistently exceeded expectations.

School-Level Achievements

  • Acorn Education Schools:
    • The Holden School increased its pass rate from 38% to 100%, with entries rising from 13 to 44.
    • Heath Farm School increased from 33% to 75%, with entries rising from 143 to 233.
  • Options Autism Schools:
    • Maple Grove achieved a 100% pass rate, up from 85%.
    • The Tower School improved from 67% to 79%.
  • Blenheim Schools: Delivered a 63% pass rate across 699 GCSE entries.

These results highlight the effectiveness of our education model, ensuring that pupils are not only accessing a broader range of qualifications but are also achieving outcomes that support progression into further education, training, and employment.
