Job Title:             SENCo - Inclusion

Location:             Overton School, Ludlow

Salary:                 £28,000 - £36,000 per annum

Hours:                 40 Hours per week; Monday to Friday

Contract:             Permanent; Term Time only

We are looking for a SENCo to join our fantastic team at Overton School.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a SENCo who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience of working as a SENCo in a SEN/ASC environment would be essential, plus excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Educated to BEd, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification as a minimum, SENCo qualification preferable.  You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

Overton School provides specialist care and education for young people aged. We are located in the beautiful Shropshire countryside on the periphery of the market town of Ludlow. The school is situated in a large characterful Victorian building sensitively adapted to meet the varying needs of our young people. Our school offers a modern education block with dedicated academic and vocational learning spaces which compliments the school’s capacity for providing high quality care and learning where students are supported to enjoy and achieve.
