Using Therapeutic Parenting techniques, we provide residential support for children who have suffered developmental trauma, neglect and abuse during their early life which has caused attachment difficulties and for children with SEND including Autism.

The Role:

 

  • Ensuring smooth operation of the home, helping our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.
  • Maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
  • You will deliver efficient management, delivery, and development of our residential SEMH service, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is consistently given.
  • Effectively manage the small care team to achieve the best outcomes for our residents
  • Provide a safe and secure environment and maintaining Ofsted and Quality Care Standards.
  • Currently hold a Level 3 QCF Children and Young Peoples Workforce and level 5 QCF Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
  • You will be a calm, engaging, resilient leader able to motivate your team to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
  • A sound knowledge of Children’s Homes regulations and Quality Standards is a must, with an in-depth understanding of Safeguarding Children and Multi agency working
  • A knowledge of PACE behaviour model will enable you to follow our Ethos, to provide positive behaviour management using a Conscious Parenting/PACE approach to enable Children make sense of their lives and thrive.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations and inspection relating to Young People in Care
  • Prior knowledge and experience of writing Placement Plans, Risk Assessments and Behaviour plans to reflect Local Authority Plans and required Outcomes in a clear concise, informative and timely manner with updates as necessary.
  • Full and valid UK Driving Licence
  • Right to Work in the UK
