The Education Resourcing Team are looking for a Candidate Search Specialist to join their team. Ideally, you will have been an in-house recruiter, resource or administrator in a similar recruitment role or you may be a graduate or administrator who is looking to get into recruitment and would have transferrable skills to develop within this role. About the Role

You will proactively search for and pool talent for senior and specialist, live and future vacancies, and enable a proactive and market-leading resourcing service by providing an in-house candidate search service to the Resourcing Managers for key roles. In this role you will reduce agency spending and raise brand awareness in key markets as well as partner with the Resourcing Team to complement other direct sourcing methods and develop talent pools for key future vacancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with the Resourcing Managers to deliver a proactive, best in class resourcing service by direct sourcing candidates for senior and specialist, live and future vacancies
  2. Partner with the Resourcing Team to develop talent pools for key future vacancies
  3. Reduce the reliance and spend on recruitment agencies for permanent placements
  4. Take recruiting manager briefs on key roles to inform approach to market
  5. Search for candidates using CV databases, social media channels and by developing external networks from internal staff contacts
  6. Communicate with candidates using a variety of methods over the short and long term
  7. Telephone, video call or screen candidates before presenting them to the stakeholders for interview
  8. Completing interview pack and psychometric documentation for hiring managers in preparation for their interviews in a timely manner
  9. Work to direct sourcing and agency spend reduction targets and keep accurate records to track talent and achievements
  10. Partner with the Resourcing Team to improve advertising content and methods
  11. Partner with the Resourcing Manager (Centre of Expertise) to continuously improve the employer brand

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • some experience in  candidate searching 
  • some experience of working and building relationships with Stakeholders and Senior Leadership Teams
  • A confident approach to speaking with candidates about specific job roles
  • A flexible, approachable and adaptable attitude
  • Experience within recruitment either from agency or in-house recruitment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Shortlisting and interviewing experience
  • The willing to learn new systems
  • The ability to work well within a team to exceed expectations
