Hours:             37.5 hours per week 8.30am- 4.30pm (4pm Friday)

Contract:         Term Time plus 1 week

We’re looking for a Motor Vehicle Assistant to join The Grange Therapeutic School team and support pupils in our new mechanics suite.

About the School

The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent special school for young people aged 8 -18 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our school is based in a Victorian country house in Leicestershire with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils. With access to woods and lakes on site, the school has an ethos about delivering a personalised curriculum tailored to, and driven by, the individuals. At our last Ofsted inspection in 2018 the school was rated “Outstanding” for behaviour and leadership.

About the Role

We want a hard-working and inspirational Motor Vehicle assistant to support the Instructor of Motor Vehicle and support pupils in class to gain qualifications to L2.

You will be based in our new motor vehicle suite and work with small groups to support pupils in gaining skills and qualifications. Most pupils will be13 plus.

Essential Criteria

  • L2 qualification in a Motor Vehicle discipline or extensive experience
  • Experience working with young people
  • Be passionate about improving the outcomes for young people
  • Personal resilience
  • Driving licence and car due to location.
