About the Role

Could you be our newest Database Administrator?

Outcomes First Group is on the lookout for a talented individual to come and join our growing team.

As our Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and support delivery of the on-premise and cloud data infrastructure. You will proactively manage, and maintain the SQL Server environment, ensuring its health, security, availability and performance is managed at all times, 24/7.

As a member of the Infrastructure Engineering Team, you’ll also be involved in strategic developments and improvements to our SQL Server & cloud data environments.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server products, SWL databases and TSQL Code
  • Demonstrated efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to solve complex challenges
  • Good working knowledge of testing and quality assurance processes
  • Knowledge of AWS Database technologies
  • Experience in balancing BAU service & maintenance alongside project work
  • Experience of creating Database Standards
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of working within an ITIL framework
  • Must have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow processes and procedures and take ownership of tasks or issue
  • Able to work in an intensive, fast paced commercially focused, environment, is flexible and able to work occasional unsociable hour
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • A professional qualification (Microsoft SQL Server) or an IT Degree or working towards one
  • The ability to work on own initiative, tackle tasks proactively, address and resolve problems and able to follow a methodical approach to service issues
  • Contributes to, supports, and works within the team
  • Ability to work well with challenging customers and under pressure
