2 week rolling rota.

Acorn Education & Care are recruiting Children’s Care Workers to join our teams within the Wiltshire area. Your empathy and warmth will enable you to support vulnerable children aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). This means that the Children we care for may have experienced challenging or traumatic upbringings and may have difficulties with anxiety, mental health or in some cases self-harm.
This home is a farmhouse. It is close to Salisbury and is a calm and quiet home. There are horses in the grounds which the children love visiting. The needs are more specific as one of the children have high functioning autism. We support Children and Young People from the ages 14-16 to build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests. .
The Farmhouse is based in Porton, and is within commuting distance from Salisbury, Andover, Shaftesbury and surrounds.

· Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs
· Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Children’s Residential Care, by working towards a funded qualification in Level 4 Apprenticeship for Children Young People and Families Practitioner (if you do not currently hold this or equivalent)
