Do you want to make your mark improving the lives of children and young people?

Do you want to lead an Ofsted Outstanding care team?

If so, we have the job for you!

We’re looking for a Head of Residential Care to join The Grange Therapeutic School team.

About the School

The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent special school for young people aged 8 -18 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school is 38 week, term time only and has 14 residential places out of a total capacity of 85.  Our school is based in a Victorian country house in Leicestershire with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils. With access to woods and lakes on site, the school has an ethos about delivering a personalised curriculum tailored to, and driven by, the individuals. The school has two residential houses in the village with experienced, hardworking and skilled staff. The last inspection saw care rated as “Outstanding” in all categories.

About the Role

This is an exciting role where the successful candidate will lead the care staff team and be responsible for all aspects of the residential provision. They will oversee the strategic development of the provision in consultation with the Head Teacher and liaise closely as part of the Senior Leadership Team with colleagues in therapy and education. The role also includes oversight of safeguarding, through a team of DSOs. Further details can be found in the job description and person specification.

We want to hear from people with drive, a willingness to go the extra mile and who are comfortable holding other professionals to account to improve the lives of the young people in our care. Strong organisational skills, team working and a sense of humour are also vital.

We encourage visits before applications are submitted – please contact the school on 01664 454264 for further details.
