We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at Burghwood House in Horsham, West Sussex as a Bank Residential Support Worker. As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Bank Residential Support Workers carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will chaperone the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.

Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. Burghwood House is an Ofsted registered care and education campus which is set in the picturesque countryside of West Sussex. The home offers a holistic model of care and education to children and young people aged 11 – 18 years, with Social, Emotional, Mental Health difficulties. Burghwood House seeks to maintain stable placements so that the residents build relationships, enhance their feelings of self-worth, and develop a desire to learn. The home is located near Horsham and is commutable from Slinfold, Barns Green, Crawley, Leatherhead, Guildford, Worthing and other surrounding towns and villages.
For over 16 years Acorn Education and Care have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
