Position:          Residential Childcare Worker

Hours:             42.11 hours per week, The rota will follow: 2 days on - 0700 - 2200, sleep, 0700 - 2200, 3 days off.

Contract:         Permanent

Salary:            £19,801.60 - £20,176.00 (£9.52 – £9.70 per hour) plus travel allowance, plus £45 per sleep in

Our childrens residential home is looking for caring individuals who enjoy working with young people, aged 7-18 and are keen to make a difference.  

We are looking for creative, active and open-minded Support Workers, to join our family feel team. You must have a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring even the most challenging of minds and behaviours. We are looking for candidates who want to get involved, have their ideas heard, are confident being a parental figure and who are resilient, active and caring. Previous experience with young people who have a history of SEMH would be preferred and a Level 3 qualification in health and social care is preferred – or the desire to complete one that will be fully funded and supported is required.

Ashley is a 6-bed home which offers a holistic model of care and education for young people aged 7-18, which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment to enriching life experiences. The young people in this home all have Social, Emotional, Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) and our aim is to help these young people achieve their full potential and prepare them for future independence. Ashley is committed to this aim by working in partnership with relevant agencies, facilitating further education, training and employment opportunities. We make every effort to effectively engage and work with relevant persons involved in young people's care with the aim of ensuring that each young person's needs are met.

The ideal candidate will provide consistency in supporting young people in their day-to-day lives, enhancing their life skills, creating fun, and engaging activities to do at the evenings and weekends and making sure, they are safe and secure in their surroundings.

The team within this home all work collaboratively to ensure the young people are supported and safeguarded, within and outside of their home.

* please note that the travel allowance is only included if you travel between 40-80 miles as a round trip (£100) or 81+ miles (£125) to the care home.
