Unlock your potential - “We make the incredible happen!”

Acorn Education and Care, are recruiting Residential Childcare Workers to join our team in the Nottinghamshire region.

Woodview is a three bedded residential home based in Nottingham. At our home, we can support children and young people from the ages of 8-18 who may have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as mild learning difficulties. We provide a homely environment for our young people, and support with all aspects of life, such as education, activities, independence and moving into adulthood, depending on their individual plans.

Care and dedication is what supports our young people to grow and develop, and even once they have left our care, we remain in touch with them to sustain the relationships we have made. We can also experience risk/challenging behaviours within our home, as a result of our young people’s past experiences, and you will receive appropriate training to be able to support them. In hindsight, we strive to give our young people the upbringing that they deserve, with care, love and attention and are one big family.

Woodview is based in Arnold but is within commutable distance of Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby Ilkeston and surrounds.

Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!

The best part is you don’t need any prior experience, just the following:

  • A big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives.
  • Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging.
  • Patience, resilience, and calmness.
  • Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs.
  • Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Children’s Residential Care.
