Hours:                   30 hours per week - 6 hours/day Monday to Friday

Contract:              FTC for 12 Months to be reviewed

We’re looking for an Experienced Administrator to join The Shires, Stretton Admin team. To plan, organise and provide administrative support to the Home Managers and Senior Leadership Team in an efficient, effective and timely way and in compliance with the requirements of the Outcomes First Group Education and Care.

About the Role

  • Recruitment schedule 2 checks - booking interviews
  • Schedule 3 checks - checking young people’s files are up to date.
  • Maintaining electronic personnel records/paper files and ensuring accurate absence recording
  • Support HR with new starters
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure accurate absence recording
  • Administration for young people files
  • Contact for Recruitment / Agencies
  • To handle incoming calls to the service, taking detailed and accurate messages and relaying them promptly to the appropriate person
  • To welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner and promptly ensure that the appropriate person is informed of their arrival, arranging refreshments as required
  • To ensure that identification is seen and verified for all visitors to the site
  • Chasing out of date paperwork for young people
  • Note taking in meetings
  • Sending out correspondence
  • Errands for the home’s needs
  • Training matrix support
  • Filing documents
  • Printing documents
  • Binding children’ logs
  • Occasional finance support

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with drive and a willingness to go the extra mile to improve the lives of the young people in our care. Strong inter-personal skills, team working and a sense of humour are also vital. Must be honest, trustworthy and reliable and empathetic to working with young people with special educational needs and their families and carers.

About the School:

The Shires is made up of three sites all within a 15-minute drive of one another. The sites consist of two Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools and three Residential homes.  We help care for and support 33 young people aged 11-19 and 8 young adults who have been diagnosed with Autism and may have accompanying learning disabilities, behavioural problems or medical conditions.
