Waking Night Children’s Support Worker

Up to £25,920.00 per annum plus a £500 welcome bonus and an extra £500 when you pass your probation

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week - 4 on 4 off shift pattern, shift times are 10.30pm - 9.15am and one training day per month 9.00am - 3.00pm)

The Opportunity

Options Autism, are recruiting Waking Night Children’s Support Workers to join our team at Underley Garden Childrens home, we work directly with vulnerable children with Autism and complex needs.

You will carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will support the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips out, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, engage them in tasks and activities, follow positive behaviour support plans and administer medication. You will act as a corporate parent and build close links with all who are important to the children such as their families and social workers. 

This home is located in the idyllic countryside of Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria and is within commutable distance from Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Kendal and Skipton.Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!
