Secondary or Primary teachers who relish a challenge!  We now have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding teacher with to join Medway Green School. If you are looking to join a growing, motivated and highly dedicated team in a challenging and rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you!

Our KS3 classes will be taught following a Primary model where they will mostly have one class base and one teacher.  The successful candidate will be able to teach across the KS3 curriculum.  MFL is delivered through focus and enrichment days.  We are a growing provision and therefore roles will inevitably change as we grow and take in older children.  Teachers with a subject specialism will have the opportunity to deliver their subject area(s) as we introduce a KS4 curriculum.

Differentiation and individualised learning strategies are vital skills required to meet the needs of all our pupils who will have had varying degrees of success in their educational lives. Our aim is to change young people’s expectations and we will always provide our pupils with the best possible opportunities to succeed beyond Medway Green School.  You will be enthusiastic, able to work effectively as part of a team and dedicated to making a difference to improving the lives of the young people that we support.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for one of the following:

  • A primary school teacher seeking a challenge who is able to teach the curriculum to KS3 students

  • A secondary subject specialist who can teach the full range of subjects in KS3

  • A teacher with a range of experiences who is able to teach the KS3 curriculum

  • An instructor / unqualified teacher who could fit into one of the above categories

Just as important as academic achievement is the social & emotional development of our pupils. We want our pupils to be successful citizens and positively contribute to their local communities, it will therefore be imperative to provide opportunities to advance these skills. Along with this, the use of personalised curriculums and positive reinforcement will underpin your everyday practice.

This can be a challenging environment and therefore, determination and resilience are key characteristics for the post. We are seeking an experienced teacher with an ability to interact with and motivate students diagnosed with SEMH and ASC, allowing the successful candidate to immediately form positive relationships and adapt to the needs of the pupils. We invest heavily in teacher development and want staff who endeavour to achieve more.  We often find that candidates who have succeeded in mainstream settings and are looking for a new challenge make excellent SEN teachers.  Therefore, applications are welcome from teachers with special needs or mainstream backgrounds.

If you are passionate about this truly unique and rewarding sector and have the energy, drive and desire to motivate our pupils and ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes, then we welcome your application.

Please note that Acorn Care and education operates an auto enrolment pension scheme.

The position is due to commence September 2021 (subject to approved reference/DBS checks).

Acorn Care and Education are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check
