Job Title:                Personal Development and Careers Co-ordinator

Location:               The Greater Horseshoe School, Heathfield

Salary:                    £17,682 - 27,965 per annum

Hours:                    40.5 per week

Contract:               Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Personal Development and Careers Co-ordinator to join our fantastic team at The Greater Horseshoe School.  As a Personal Development and Careers Co-ordinator, you will ensure the careers education is delivered in accordance with the up to date and relevant guidance and oversee educational visits across the school in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Personal Development and Careers Co-ordinator, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

About us:

The Greater Horseshoe School is a relatively new, large site surrounded by trees and flanked by a tranquil river and farmland. We have grown rapidly to support, currently, 41 young people, aged 7-18 Each child has individual needs based on communication and sensory challenges, which are associated with autism and we support them using a bespoke curriculum and the THRIVE approach.

The established staff team come from a variety of previous occupations and have individual skills, which can be utilised, within this school. So, if you have an interest and/or qualifications in animal care, horticulture, construction, outdoor education, forestry or any other specific trade or hobby, we would love to hear from you!
