We are looking for a SENCo to join our fantastic teams at New Barn School and Jubilee School.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a SENCo who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience of working as a SENCo in a SEN/ASC environment would be essential, plus excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Educated to Qualified Teacher Status and with a qualification in SEN, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

New Barn School offers an education which exposes pupils’ to a broad, balanced, differentiated and relevant curriculum, presents them with challenges in which creativity is fostered and which is based on the essential elements of the National Curriculum. The school provides a structured and supportive environment which is planned to meet the personal, academic and pastoral needs of the pupils at each stage of their schooling.

Jubilee School is a small co-educational day school, which helps educate and support children aged between 8 – 16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and additional complex behaviours. In addition to taking day students, Jubilee School is also linked with four residential homes and is located in Waterlooville, just outside of Portsmouth.
