Job Title:         School Caretaker

Location:         New Options School, Shoreditch, London

Salary:              £25,000 per annum

Hours:              37.5 per week (Monday to Friday)

Can you enrich the lives of young people as a Caretaker?

We are looking for a responsible, hands-on Caretaker to join our brand new team at our new Options School based in London. As Caretaker, you will help support our children and young people in their daily lives, by ensuring our sites are well maintained and equipped to meet their needs.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. You will take pride in maintaining our school, from day to day repairs to completing risk assessments, carrying out security procedures, checking equipment and contributing to school development projects.

For many of our children, consistency is key, and our Caretaker take time to make sure everything is as it should be for us to run smoothly and safely.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Caretaker, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience in a similar setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right DIY skills, motivation, and personal qualities are just as important. These roles are ideal for people with skills in maintenance, DIY and health and safety, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to children’s lives and futures.

You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive. 

About us:

Our new Options Autism School is a brand new Primary School forecasted to open in January 2022. It will be a specialist ASD Primary School, based in Shoreditch, London. We will cater for primary children who have Autism and complex needs and we will also have an onsite nursery.

The aim of the school is to provide specialist individual support to each child, enabling them to reach their potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We will provide the young people with as much freedom as possible while offering a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals across the company who are passionate, reliable and understanding including dedicated education, care and clinical teams.
