Kestrel House School is an independent special educational needs school in Crouch End, North London, for boys and girls, aged 5 – 16 years who have a diagnosis of Autism. About the role

We require an autism specialist with leadership experience who can lead the school in embedding the Kestrel House Curriculum and SCERTS approach. You will also be required to take the role of leading numeracy or science across the school at early years and primary level.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate outstanding practice.  You will have specialist autism knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs and/or on the autism spectrum. We are looking for an individual with a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning, both within the classroom and in the community.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and young people with a primary diagnosis of ASD. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.
