Hours:                          52 hours per week, 7 days on / 7 days off

Can you enrich the lives of young people as a Team Manager in our residential care settings?

We are looking for a caring, responsible, experienced Team Manager to join our fantastic team based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. As Team Manager you will lead a team of Support Workers who care for our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Team Managers carry out an essential and varied role, supporting the Registered Managers in leading a team to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Team Manager with previous experience of managing teams in a residential care setting, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Already qualified with Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, and working at Care Worker level 4 or above, you will be a calm, engaging, resilient manager, diligent with quality and compliance, and motivated to bring your experience to a team that is passionate about providing a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

Key Skills Required:

  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity within a children’s residential setting
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Able to direct, lead and motivate individuals and the team to deliver positive results 
  • Diligent, enthusiastic and passionate  
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and be willing to drive as part of the role

Our residential home in Chipping Norton is an Ofsted ‘Good’ registered independent children’s home offering residential care for children & young people aged 12-16 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The 7 bedded home, set in a rural location in Oxfordshire offers a holistic model of care and education for the residents, which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. Oathill Lodge is within commutable distance from Banbury, Charlbury, Kingham, Oxford, Bicester, Aylesbury and other surrounding towns and villages.
