Salary: £20,791.68 - £21,840.00 per annum (£9.52 - £10.00 per hour)

Location: Little Acre Annex, Melton Mowbray

As a young adult and adult’s Support Worker within our residential home in Little Acre Annex, you will work directly with vulnerable adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex needs to provide them with the care, support and opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and to make their way in the world. Each day you will be supporting individuals to develop independent life skills, from personal care to daily routines. You will also have the freedom to make each day as fun and fulfilling as possible working with residents to enjoy and explore their hobbies from baking and arts and crafts to outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, and walking.

About the role

Our residents are classed as High-Needs, the role will involve you assisting them with their health and personal care needs. Your duties will range from preparing meals and drinks, to personal care tasks such as feeding, bathing, and dressing, as well as medication:

•             Personal care

•             Assisted Feeding, Meal preparation and assistance with eating and drinking

•             Prompting or assisting with medication

•             General housework

In line with changes to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 anyone working in a CQC-registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care must have 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine unless they have a medical exemption.
