Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager and Agency Decision Maker

Location: Homebased 

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Car Allowance: £3,000


Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will be a registered social worker with a minimum of 3 years experience in social work. An understanding of fostering and the ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and Panels is essential is also essential.  The role requires a sound knowledge of fostering legislation across the UK as this role also provides advice and guidance on fostering regulations to staff within the organisation.  A significant part of the role is as an Agency Decision Maker, ensuring that decisions on the approval and continued approval for foster carers are in-line with  Regulations and National Minimum Standards and best practice.  Excellent time management and organisational skills are key for being successful in this role, due to tight deadlines and ensuring our Quality Assurance Department is running a safe and effective operation.


About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager ADM to join our team at Outcomes First Group. The role involves working closely with the Director of Quality Assurance – Fostering, and the wider Quality and Compliance Team to ensure the highest quality service for our carers, young people and children, whilst putting a focus on the security and safety for all stakeholders. Your duties will involve the Agency Decision Making for specific Fostering Agencies, undertaking Panel Chair appraisals, managing stage 3 complaint panels and collating and analysing safeguarding information for your Agencies on a weekly basis to report to senior managers. The Quality Assurance Manager will also work closely with the Fostering Quality Assurance Team to ensure all decisions are in the best interest of the children in our foster care, whilst making sure the principles of quality assurance contribute to the best outcomes for their welfare.


Essential Criteria

  • Qualified and registered social worker with at least 3 years experience
  • Demonstrable quality assurance management experience, preferably within a fostering setting.
  • Proficient using CHARMS
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Outstanding time management and organisation
  • Confident communicator
