We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic administrator to join the Fostering Solutions North West team at the St Helens office.
About the Group
We are part of National Fostering Group.
Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. With 100% of our 26 regional fostering agencies officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to the team to ensure an effective and efficient service. You will be required to provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, including meeting and greeting, being the first point of contact for telephone calls
As administrator you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and phone calls, dealing with queries effectively and confidentially. You will be in your comfort zone supporting the team and managers with minuting, projects and research when required.
The administrator will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care.
Who we are looking for
You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure. It will be useful to have experience of dealing with Panel administration which would include minute taking.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.
- Experience within an administrative role
- Strong IT skills

- Willingness to learn and happy to undertake professional training where necessary

- Organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks & deadlines
- An awareness of how key social media platforms work and operate within a business setting (desirable)
