Location:         Spinney House, Hungerford

Hours:              Flexible (Bank)

Contract:         Bank

Can you work flexibly to enrich the lives of young people as a Bank Support Worker?

We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at Spinney House as a Bank Support Worker. As a Bank Support Worker, you will provide critical support at peak times to our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to start or continue your career in care, working, when required, as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Our Bank Support Workers are called at short notice to carry out an essential and varied role to provide the individual, bespoke support required by the children and young people in our care. You will chaperone the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, complete relevant paperwork, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Bank Support Worker, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These roles are ideal for people working in customer facing industries including retail, hospitality, and leisure, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to children’s lives and futures.

You will join our Bank team, providing crucial support to cover annual leave, sickness, training, or particularly busy periods, ensuring we can continue to deliver high standards of care to our children and young people.

Already qualified to or willing to work towards your NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work at short notice, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
