About the Role & You

Payroll Administrator is a fantastic opportunity to drive your career forward in Payroll, joining our growing team and organisation. Our central HR Operations team based in the Atria Offices in Bolton continues to grow and develop, supporting our managers and employees with all HR & Payroll queries.

We run all our own payrolls and associated benefits in accordance with statutory regulation for our 49 companies and approximately 5000 employees across our schools, care homes and fostering offices.

You will also be the first point of contact for payroll queries and will provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and National Insurance. 

We would like to speak with you if you have previous experience of working in payroll or a finance related environment. You will need to be focussed, accurate with planning skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of auto enrolment and pension schemes as you will be assisting with the administration of all the company pension schemes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be liaising with people across the whole of the business.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude of using figures
  • Accuracy & excellent attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure and be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience of Cascade payroll would be an advantage but not essential
