Activities Coordinator

Location:               Bramfield House School, Halesworth, Suffolk.

Salary:                    Up To £16,800 (£12.50 per hour) 

Hours:                    2:30pm- 9:00pm Monday- Thursday (30 hours a week)

Contract:               Fixed Term, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an activities coordinator for a fixed term, who, to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House in Halesworth, Suffolk. Bramfield House School is an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, located in rural Suffolk. The School has a committed and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; we are in a great position to provide our pupils with the best education and care possible.

About the Role

Experience in behaviour management and activities planning is preferred but not essential as we will train, support and promote you to ensure you have an amazing career. All you need is the drive to make a difference and a focus on the positive outcomes for our children and the right personality.

You will spend your time planning fun activities for the boarders at the school and supporting pupil support staff in the evenings to provide a fantastic experience for each young person.

This role however, does come with some potential challenges, behaviour management is essential because you will be working on the front line with young people who can find life challenging, you will need to be mentally and physically fit and resilient.

You will be a responsible, friendly and thoughtful individual who is creative and has loads of ideas.

You will ideally understand some of the challenges that you could be faced with, as it will be a challenging yet rewarding role. You will be able to strike a balance between fair and firm, you will have excellent planning skills, you’ll be organised and FUN!

We need someone who can be a role model, work well within a team, has great communication skills, can manage their workload and be prepared for the varying difficulties the role may present.
