Outstanding Operations Assistant required to support our facilities manager.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Assistant to join our fantastic team at Acorn Park, Norwich.

As an Operations Assistant, you will administer and hold responsibility for the systems and procedures required by the business to ensure that our services run smoothly and efficiently.  The role will require attention to detail, a willingness to work to deadlines and close partnership working with managers from both the care and education teams.

You will be well supported and line-managed by our experienced Facilities Manager. 

Responsibilities will include supporting new pupil referrals, aspects of HR, oversight of training records, email and other communication systems, resource bookings, lettings and a range of health and safety procedures.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Whilst previous experience of working in an Education or Care Environment would be desirable, the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Educated to a GCSE level or above, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

Acorn Park is a unique provision comprising of an independent special school for up to 90 young people aged 6-19, and 6 Children's Homes that are co-located on a shared 30-acre private estate in the beautiful village of Banham, Norfolk.  We are part of the Options Autism group – we specialise in the education and care of young people with Autism.
