Salary:                    £18,500 - £20,000 (plus on call allowance £2,615.83) dependent on experience

Hours:                    37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our fantastic team at Kinsale School in Holywell, Flintshire.

This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant who wants to contribute to the safety of children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Working as Maintenance Assistant you will support Kinsale School on site to maintain buildings and equipment to the high standards set by the company and external regulators. This role will require you to be adaptable and flexible as the jobs dictate your day. You will also have the ability to keep up to date written records alongside liaising with external professionals.

This role requires a full UK driving licence.

As the Maintenance Assistant, your duties may include:

  • Painting and Decorating of internal rooms and external areas
  • General repair works to damaged fixtures and fittings
  • Basic building works and carpentry repairs
  • Ground maintenance and gardening
  • Basic plumbing repairs and renewals

Have an awareness and empathy with the Service Users for whom the service is provided and to carry out duties mindful of their needs

Options Kinsale is located in a stunning rural location, overlooking the Dee Estuary. Our school provides specialist education for up to 25 students, aged 8 – 19 having a range of complex needs including ASC and ADHD, in addition to impaired social or cognitive functioning due to early life trauma and attachment difficulties.
