Salary:                   £20,000.00 per annum

Hours:                    40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 2 week rota (Week 1: 7am to 3pm, Week 2: 1pm to 9pm)

Contract:               Permanent

We are looking for a responsible, hands-on Estates Painter and Decorator to join our fantastic team at Underley Garden. As Estates Painter and Decorator, you will help support our children and young people in their daily lives, by ensuring our sites are well maintained and equipped to meet their needs.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. You will take pride in maintaining our school, maintaining a high standard of the internal and external decoration across the site.  Supporting with the routine maintenance and minor refurbishment of premises, carrying out security procedures, checking equipment and contributing to school development projects.

For many of our children, consistency is key, and our Estates Painter and Decorators take time to make sure everything is as it should be for us to run smoothly and safely.

Competent in the area of painting and decorating or work in a similar field is essential.  Also previous experience of maintenance work and having the right DIY skills, motivation, and personal qualities are just as important. These roles are ideal for people with skills in maintenance, DIY and health and safety, looking for a new role that makes a real difference to children’s lives and futures.

You will be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

The young people who attend Underley Garden all have an EHCP/statement of special educational needs. Underley meets the needs of a range of SEN including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health & Medical needs and related behavioural difficulties.
