Therapies Assistant

We currently have an opportunity for a Therapies Assistant to join our clinical team based in Welford, Newbury, Berkshire. If you have experience in working with children, especially those with special needs, this is an ideal opportunity for you to develop your skills further.

About the role

As Therapies Assistant you will follow a holistic care model to offer specialist support for children, families, and the school workforce, with children and young people with educated care plans and those with Special Education Needs and SEMH. Under the supervision of our professional qualified Therapists, you will be contribute to the assessment, formulation and plans for the children we support. The role would suit a confident individual looking to work in an education/care setting and someone who has a special interest supporting with children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), as well as other complex needs.

An excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of clinicians made up of Psychology, Psychotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes including English at Grade C and above.
  • Evidence of relevant post 16 education.
  • Previous experience of working within an SEN education setting preferred.
  • Valid Drivers licence and own transport
