We’re looking for a part time Child Support Worker to join our School in Falkland, Fife. Someone with relevant experience of Autistic Spectrum disorder would be perfect for this role.
About the School:
Falkland House School is an in independent residential school for boys from primary to aged 18 years. Our pupils have a range of Additional Support Needs including emotional and behavioural difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We were the first independent school in Scotland (outside of the NAS) to receive accreditation from the National Autistic Society.

About the Role:
Candidate should be aware that they will occasionally be required to work weekend/school holiday shifts. The normal pattern will see them work 3 shifts between Monday and Friday, during our school’s term time (39 weeks). Shift times are 07:30-14:30 for an early shift, and 15:00-22:00 for a late shift.
Responsibilities will include working with the children within their day to day lives, doing activities with them and providing any emotional support they may require. A key responsibility is to safeguard all who are in our care and ensure they are safe and healthy. The successful candidate will also provide behavioural support within the classroom. The role will also involve driving children to and from their homes.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who is friendly, compassionate, resilient, active and calm under pressure and who has the desire to learn and work with children and young people with complex needs.
Experience working with young people with an ASD diagnosis is preferable but not essential. The individual should be able to demonstrate positive unconditional regard towards the young people at all times and be committed to creating an environment for the boys which is both safe and nurturing and enables them to grow and become healthy, independent individuals.
- Driver of manual vehicles.
- Willing to work towards necessary qualifications in accordance with the minimum requirement for registration as determined be the Scottish Social Services Council.
