We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team based in Bromley, Kent. An ideal opportunity for those with experience of working with children and young people who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated comorbidities, newly qualified Clinical Psychologists will also be considered for this role. You will be playing an integral role within our expanding clinical wellbeing team and have opportunities to work with foster parents and looked after children.
About the role
The successful applicant will be based at our Baston House School. Baston House is a specialist school catering to pupils with an EHCP across primary and secondary ages. The school has excellent resources which includes an Inclusion Team providing first line support to the Clinical team consisting of; Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Therapy Assistants and an Assistant Clinical Psychologist. A fantastic collaborative team with established systems and processes in place.
In brief the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing a systematic high-quality psychology service within the designated provisions to children and young people
- Working collaboratively with others to promote the wellbeing and best interests of the children and young people ensuring a high quality service provision in line with best practice guidelines and internal policies and procedures
- Undertaking all aspects of Clinical Psychology duties adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines
- Carrying out assessments; designing individualised plans and strategies; implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions; report writing, attending and facilitating multi-professional reviews
- Providing advice, information and training to staff, other members of the Clinical Wellbeing and multi-disciplinary teams, commissioners and other agencies regarding the impact on children of trauma and adverse life experiences; attachment difficulties; neuro-diversity and educational needs.
Essential criteria:
- Post-graduate doctoral level in Clinical Psychology and active HCPC registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
- Relevant post-qualification experience with children and young people
