We’re looking for a Site Assistant to join the Oak Tree School Site Team. Someone who is organised, experienced in general maintenance duties and can work independently would be perfect for this role.

Oak Tree School is a specialist provision positioned near the city of Truro in Cornwall. The school provides full-time specialist co-education for up to 65 children and young people aged 7 to 16 who experience social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. These children and young people often cannot cope, function or achieve within a mainstream environment. The aim is to provide a structured, nurturing approach, with pupils accessing a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum to meet their significant needs.

Who we are looking for

Applicants would benefit from being in recepit of Health and Safety and/or landscaping qualifications but this is not essential as relevant training would be given to suitable candidates.The candidate will assist the Site Manager in ensuring the school maintains a high standard of security, cleanliness and safety and general maintenance. This position will cover 3 sites, the main site being Oak Tree School.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of general maintenance duties
  • Able to undertake a range of maintenance duties independently
