We are currently looking for an experienced Deputy Manager who will be able to step up to Registered Manager for the first year and then become Deputy Manager, once the current Registered Manager returns. Please note that after this time frame, there may be other Registered Manager opportunities for the successful candidate to be placed into, due to the growth of the business.

About the Home

We are recruiting an Interim Registered Manager to join our Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) team within Illogan, Truro. The young people in this home may also have mild to moderate learning disabilities. Our beautiful and homely residential setting provides 24/7 care for up to four children. Each child has their own room which they decorate to their individual tastes and cater for their requirements.

As a Registered Home Manager you will be responsible for the care of up to four young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, including challenging behaviour who may also have mild-moderate learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will effectively manage the small care team to achieve the best outcomes for our residents, whilst providing a safe and secure environment and maintaining Ofsted and Quality Care Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop the team to maximise their performance and potential and work effectively together to deliver the best outcomes
  • Enable the young people to fulfil their potential through structured education, care and wellbeing interventions that are relevant to their needs
  • Manage placement plans building relationships and gaining best outcome agreements with local authorities
  • Manage the home in line with the allocated budget
  • Oversee all referrals and assessments within the home
