We’re looking for an experienced clinician with proven leadership skills to join our expanding team as our Locality Wellbeing Lead for the North West.  This is a wide and varied role ideal for those now looking for a new challenge where you can truly have an impact in shaping a service and driving change.

 

About The Role:

The Locality Wellbeing Lead is an exciting and specialist clinical and management role, covering multiple sites across the North West within residential care, education and fostering environments.

The post holder will hold clinical responsibility, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team providing services of, but not limited to - Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational and Sensory Integration Therapy, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Therapy Assistants and other appropriate professions as the allocated services require to meet the needs of children, young people and adult’s. Responsible for the outstanding functionality of the Wellbeing Hub achieved through a substantial resource being at their disposal.

 

The multi-disciplinary team will help provide all levels of service intervention to surrounding provisions within the Outcomes First Group, so the post holder will need to have their own means of transport. The post-holder will work independently within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and support the integration of their specific service in the day to day running of each provision i.e. standardised assessments and clinical services. A key aspect of the role will be quality assuring the hub and its delivery of informed interventions at a universal, targeted and specialist level to support our wider teams in meeting our children, young peoples and adult’s needs in line with set Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

 

The role is required to take place in a range of settings across the group in applying assessments and the delivery of clinical/medical intervention. Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.

 

About the Person

We can consider for this role a Clinical Psychologist, Educational or Forensic Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or a Psychotherapist with proven leadership experience.  As this is a new role with excellent internal resource we are flexible to consider the right person and the salary is negotiable depending on experience. 

We’re looking for a proactive leader who enjoys shaping positive change and can work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, operational leads and other clinicians within the region.

 

Essential criteria:

  • First degree in psychology, education, social work or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage strategically
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  • Ability to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict.
